About PTSD Claims In Ontario
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) occurs after a person has been exposed to trauma including feeling that his/her life is in danger or the threat of death or serious injury.
PTSD can cause a person to re-experience the traumatic event or experience repeatedly. Symptoms of PTSD can include and are not limited to nightmares, flashbacks, anxiety, avoidant behaviours and mood changes.
First responders (police, firefighters, paramedics, RCMP) and military personnel, as a result of their professions are exposed to situations that could cause the development of PTSD. However, a person can develop PTSD as a result of a car accident, a traumatic incident in a workplace or other reasons.
Our firm has helped clients who have experienced post-traumatic stress disorder when their disability claims were denied.
