About PTSD Claims In Ontario
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) occurs after a person has experienced exposure to trauma, in particular, a feeling that his or her life is in danger and/or the threat of death or serious injury.
PTSD can cause someone to re-experience the traumatic event/experience over and over again and to develop nightmares, flashbacks, anxiety, avoidant behaviour, mood changes and other symptoms.
First responders (police, firefighters, paramedics, RCMP), as a result of their professions, are exposed to situations that could cause the development of PTSD.
Our firm has helped clients who have experienced Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder when their disability claims were denied.
Aaron Waxman and Associates is a proud sponsor of the Tema Conter Memorial Trust, an organization that helps first responders who have PTSD.
